Random Updates About Life

Being a children's librarian apprentice, I have had the opportunity to work with the 23 Things project. I thought I would share my 23 Things blog with anyone who might be interested in seeing a method of learning about web 2.0 (and hearing some of my personal views about it as well).

Click here for my librarian blog!

I believe it may evolve to be more than a way to document the 23 Things project, but may be a professional outlet for me to write about the wonderful world of youth librarianship... but only time and attention spans will tell...

Oh and coming up I get to be the lead on a Presidents Day exhibit at the library, as well as Children's Book week exhibit! Cool, huh?

What an awesome job where I can share the love of learning and of knowledge with children in my community. I really feel like it is worthwhile on so many levels. I'm so glad that my husband supports me in this passion of mine, and visits me frequently at the library with our sweet daughter. Of course, I have always encouraged him in his pursuits in art as well.

Anyways, that is the latest that's going on in my awesome career.

Evie loves books and is constantly surrounded by them. Every day she learns and grows and I know she is one smart cookie!

She says, "Go?" a lot. It basically means, "Where did mom go?" or "Where did the doggy go?" or "Hey, dad just went out the front door and I don't know where he's going!" She is also the giver of so many sweet kisses. I love that little munchkin so much!

Once again, I will say that I love my life, my husband, and everything that I have. I was just thinking how amazing my husband is. He is so talented in every way. He fills my life with friendship, love and trust and I could never imagine my life without him. I always brag about how awesome he is to friends, coworkers, and family, and anyone who can't see his awesomeness is utterly insane.

He's been drawing and painting a lot lately, and started giving me art lessons. Which reminds me, I need to finish my first homework assignment!

By the way, we just got back from Utah for the holidays, and I got to hear from my sister in law Kiersten who is serving an LDS mission in Hungary. I know she reads this blog sometimes so I will try to update it more often for her. So be prepared for some more posts with pictures and such.

I love you Kiersten!

Oh and on some other random news, I think I am going to add a twitter widget to the side of this blog as well... It will help keep this thing updated more often as well. . .
