Actually, no, I haven't been killed in a grisly car accident.

No, I'm not dead. I just haven't updated my blog in forever. So I thought I'd give a quick update.

Things have been so wonderful/crazy/amazing/stressful as of late. I'm currently enrolled in UNT's library and information science program, and the class I'm in has been keeping me extremely busy as I've been working on this project called the Information Organization Project or IOP. Work has also been keeping me busy, and I also feel I should reitterate the fact that I have a 14 month old little girl.

But here's the big NEWS:

About a little over a week ago, I was promoted to a youth services library assistant! I LOVE MY NEW JOB WITH A PASSION OF A THOUSAND SUNS! It's literally the coolest job on the planet, although I'm still technically on my "honeymoon." :)

I have the wonderful opportunity to work on youth programs for the community, the Lone Star Storytelling Festival, and I get to be a part of a team of the most awesome group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I seriously get paid to have fun, and to do what I love. Yeah, so I'm gonna brag about my awesome job career, lifestyle, whatever you want to call it; it's the best!

I have found my calling in life. I know without a shadow of a doubt I was made for this career. I get to play and read stories to children, I get to read comic books, and I've even been asked to write some articles for the city newsletter and storyteller bios for the festival! How cool is that?!

Going into the job application process for this position, I had told myself that I would be fine if I didn't get this promotion, that it would be OK and that another opportunity would present itself, but that's only because I had no idea how awesome this job actually is.

Seriously, librarians rock.
